Who am I...
Ever since I started playing, I have been performing in churches. For many years, I played in the church I grew up in and then performed in a low brass quintet that traveled the area performing in churches. I have done many solo acts, but enjoy performing with piano the most.
I grew up in Monroe, NC and went to Forest Hills High School. I started my career playing trombone in Middle School. Just one year later, I was selected to my first All-District Band. As I progressed through High-School, I was continuously selected into All-County, All-District and NC All State Honors bands as well as NC Western Regional Orchestra and NC All-State Honors Orchestra. As a senior, I was first chair trombone in the NC All-State highest honors band.
I continued my playing at Wingate University where I studied music and business. I currently am a member of the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Orchestra and also perform in other local groups
Today, I live in Harrisburg, NC with my wife Rachelle and two daughters, Rylee and Addison. I am looking forward to passing on my passion of music to my children.
Daniel Ford - Trombone
I am passionate about helping others learn to play and perform and giving my time to local schools.
Throughout the years, I have played with many groups, including the Charlotte Civic Orchestra, Queen City Brass, Union Symphony, many church groups and brass quintets.
I also want to use the Trombone to minister to others. I enjoy performing at church as part of the service. I can use your pianist and put together anything from a single song as part of special music, or I can put together a full service where I tie songs to their history and walk through the Bible.
Music should be relaxing...
There is no better feeling than playing an instrument. It can take away all the stresses of the day. This is how I feel when I play and I want others to experience the same thing.
